Council Nominations

Role Description

PASCV Council Members sit on the policy-making body for the Society. They are responsible for the oversight of the work of the Society in service to members and the field of clinical virology. They work with the PASCV staff to determine Society priorities, set achievable objectives and establish measurable outcomes.

This year, we are seeking nominations for President Elect, Secretary-Treasurer and three (3) Councilors.


Council Members are elected in a general election of the membership. All members are eligible to vote. Candidates must be a PASCV member at the time of the election. 

Term of Office and Meetings

All Council Members are expected to participate in conference calls and the annual Council Meeting to be held during the Clinical Virology Symposium. For more information, review the PASCV By-Laws

President Elect
President Elect serves a two (2) year term. At the end of the term, the President Elect shall commence his or her two (2) year term as President. Proceeding the two (2) year term as President, he or she will serve a two (2) year term as Past President.

The Secretary-Treasurer serves a four (4) year term.

Councilors serve a two (2) year term. Thereafter Councilors may elect to renew their term for a single additional two (2) year term to be approved by a majority of the Council, based on satisfactory participation in their work on the Council.
