The purpose of the Clinical Practice Committee will be to ensure that the mission of the PASCV is advanced through the promotion of clinical, scientific, and technical resources that will allow members to achieve outstanding patient care and research. The Committee will achieve these strategic goals, through, among other things, (1) monitoring policy issues which have relevance to the PASCV, (2) advising the membership of relevant policy issues, (3) increasing name recognition of the PASCV among key influential audiences.
The purpose of the Communications Working Group will be to elevate the PASCV brand through the creation/coordination and dissemination of content and increase the use of current and emerging technology to enhance communication with internal and external audiences and stimulate collaboration among members. The Communications Working Group will achieve these strategic goals, through, among other things (1) curating and disseminating content via the website, email messaging and social media, (2) determining areas where content is already being created and what can/should be repurposed or shared, and (3) assessing gaps (e.g. areas where the Working Group could easily create content or partner with another organization to provide relevant content to our members) and creating and executing a plan to fill gaps.
Education Committee
International Relations Working Group The purpose of the International Relations Working Group is to promote the exchange of professional information, educational content and knowledge between colleagues in the United States and around the world, with specific focus on those colleagues in Latin and South America. The International Relations Working Group will achieve these strategic goals, through, among other things (1) promoting awareness of issues affecting colleagues in Latin American and Canada, (2) encouraging participation of international colleagues in PASCV events and educational resources, (3) assessing gaps in educational content for international colleagues, and (4) assisting with the organization and promotion of PASCV educational meetings and events.
Membership and Nomination Committee The purpose of the Membership/Nominations Committee will be to identify officers and councilors who reflect the scope and diversity of the membership and who are able to support and foster the PASCV’s strategic directives. The Committee will serve to promote the recruitment and retention of members while developing and implementing strategies to promote and expand membership benefits. The Membership/Nominations Committee will achieve these strategic goals, through, among other things (1) overseeing the solicitation of members interested in being nominated, (2) managing elections, and (3) developing and implementing strategies for recruitment and retention of members.
Molecular Virology Workshop Committee The purpose of the Molecular Virology Workshop Committee will be to plan and coordinate the annual Molecular Virology Workshop. The committee is chaired by the President-Elect. Committee members are appointed by the Executive Committee.
Regional Meetings Working Group The purpose of the Regional Meetings Working Group will be to plan and coordinate regional meetings and events outside of the Molecular Virology Workshop that bring diverse educational content and resources to members and prospective members. The Regional Meetings Working Group will achieve these strategic goals, through, among other things (1) determining theme, design, and program content for the meeting or event, (2) developing a conference schedule, and (3) recruiting speakers and meeting participants. |
